"From the Mountain to the River" arises from an artistic creation residency in Banff National Park, Canada, the oldest in the country. The proposal explores the relationship between the river and the mountain, stating the ephemeral and constant transformation of mountains when in contact with water (at different temperatures), breaking rocks until they disappear in the current.
The images were created in watercolor; however, the stones had been bathed in diluted paint, and the water settled between the paper and the rocks left a trace that shaped the piece. These took on the essence and materiality of the cosmic: planets, mountains, puddles, and residues that on conservation label papers state a collection.
